This is a comic strip about me and my past, the story of me not being accepted by my own country, and my journey to embracing my new home. I was born in a family where they raised me differently than the others, to the point that I am a "foreigner" among my peers, no matter how hard I tried to blend in, I'm still "different". People would still treat me differently and eventually isolate me. To a point so bad that I developed a series of mental illnesses. This is the reason why I decided to come study in Canada, I desperately desire to live, study & work in a place where I would feel more comfortable with the cultural environment, and where the locals here are kind & inclusive to the others. And thankfully, this is the right place. The inspiration started from the idea of foxes always being vilified as “evil animals”. Where in fact they’re just adorable fluffy creatures that can be smug and cute at the same time. And the idea of being a fox intrigues me. So I drew myself as an anthropomorphic fox, where the others among me are just flocks of sheep, simply numbly following orders.
